Not much is known about the Book of Ophiuchus and what is known is merely speculation.

Ophiuchus was a healer who lived in ancient Greece. He spent his days wandering the lands in search of remedies and cures for illnesses of the time. Some consider him the first known doctor.

In mythology Ophiuchus was born from a union between his mortal mother and the God Apollo, son of Zeus. It is said that while searching for a remedy for his own daughter's illness Ophiuchus was tricked by Hades into crossing Zeus, which lead to his demise. But that is only part of the story...

Legend holds that Ophiuchus remains alive to this day, cursed to rome the earth in an effort to seek out those in need of a special brand of medicine...the ability to resurrect loved ones from the dead.

Shrouded in a cloak and accompanied by a python, Ophiuchus is determined to have his vengeance on the ones responsible for his plight in one way or another.

The full story of Ophiuchus and his Book are told in a limited edition comic, "The Book of Ophiuchus", which also serves as the prologue of the Graphic Novel "Wireface: Long is the Way..."

Copies of the limited edition comic will be available at various festivals and conventions beginning in

October 2011.
